Wonder kicks off on Valentine’s Day with Love Letters to the Heart of Victoria, a public event in Bendigo’s Rosalind Park.
Don’t miss the first official outing and welcome to the region for Heart, a huge, inflatable sculpture by Felipe Reynolds which is inspired by the work of Dja Dja Wurrung Traditional Owners and artist Racquel Kerr. Based on the region’s waterways, country and mountains, Heart is the centrepiece around which love letters written by people from the region will be laid out to create a map on the ground.
Bring a picnic, fill your water bottle onsite or grab a bite from one of the region’s best food trucks and enjoy Dja Dja Wurrung performance, bands Leeway, Rachel By the Stream and the Seduceaphones performing on the main stage. Dance like it’s Valentine’s Day with silent disco DJ Guru Dudu under the trees, get into some interactive games and performances in Gherkin Khan’s Alcazar or play bubble soccer! See sculptor Tom Ripon’s animals, and get your bike on with the League of Human Kindness and Bike Bendigo!
